Well, after talking with Adam and Mike we have decided to continue with a some what normal RPG character creation, gender, race, and class. Stats will be determined by starting class and race and then by equipment and as you level up.

Comments were broken for a while, so the comment I had to make is outdated by your edit where you say you'll allow all combinations, but I'll post it anyway :)

Re: character creation: I could live with those changes, but could I ask why are you thinking about simplifying the process? Picking race and class independently is pretty standard fare in CRPGs, so it shouldn't cause much confusion.

A middle ground could be to have the options you listed as standard templates, but give the option to create a character from scratch with all combinations.

Of course, whether that's workable depends on why you're making the change... if there are story reasons to limit the possible characters to the listed four, then limit away! :)

Re: turn based combat: no objections from me at all!

Currently we are thinking of iPhone, Droid, and Xbox Arcade. None of that is written in stone obviously.

Hi guys, it's good to hear things are still moving ahead!

My question: What platforms are you aiming to release AC on?

Hi, remember me? Found the Tarn bug, wrote Racuumm (Rob's Aldon's Crossing Unofficial Unix Mod Maker).

Just found you again. Great to see AC being revived! Are you planning on targetting the Android in your multiplatform plans? That's my current platform.
